Dear Editor

Poetry magazine is one of the most prestigious publications in the U.S., and is devoted solely to publishing American verse. During its 80-year history, it has featured such poets as Ezra Pound, Marianne Moore, and Wallace Stephens. This collection of letters to its founder, Harriet Monroe, includes many from the poets themselves. The editors have also added helpful notes and history to bring the magazine`s history alive.
